A skin care doctor, or dermatologist, can help you when you have skin problems. Mild skin problems such as dryness or oiliness can usually be solved by a lotion or cream from the pharmacy, but there are more serious skin conditions that require the attention of a skin care doctor.
A skin care doctor can help you with literally any type of skin problem that you might have. Skin care doctors sometimes work in a private clinic, but most hospitals have a skin care doctor, or dermatologist, as well.
Usually, when you have a serious skin problem, you go to your doctor and he or she will refer you to a dermatologist. Common skin problems include: skin cancer, warts, acne, fungal infections or eczema. A skin doctor can diagnose your skin condition and prescribe medical treatment.
The skin is the biggest organ of the body, and it’s most visible for other people. The skin reflects the body’s health and also acts as a barrier against bacteria and injuries. It is therefore important to take good care of your skin, and to take good care of your skin you will have to take good care of your whole body, from nutrition to exercise and to sleep.
